Facial Exercises Deciphered

Facial exercises are a fantastic way to improve the tone and elasticity of the muscles in the face and help to create younger looking skin. In addition to old age, skin tends to sag due to a multitude of reasons. Gravity plays an important role in changing the shape of skin. If you could imagine years of the effect of gravity on skin, it’s no surprise that skin tends to sag after a particular age. Poor diet is another common cause of less that perky skin. Poor nutrition decreases the ability of the skin to regenerate and hold shape.

Lack of rest and sleep is another reason why skin tends to lose its lustre. The most important reason that people tend to overlook is the lack of hydration. It is impossible to highlight exactly how important proper hydration is. We all know that drinking 8 glasses of water helps in digestion, helps to eliminate toxins from the entire body and in this case, helps to hydrate the ski and keeps it pliant and supple. These help the muscles to remain strong and as a result, help to hold the skin in place.

In order to fully understand the importance of facial exercises, it’s important to take a look at the structure and main use of the muscles in the face. In simple terms, facial muscles are quite different from the normal skeletal muscles that are present in the rest of the body in that they are attached directly to our skin. They also work to connect other facial muscles to our bone. In effect, they work as a bridge between the skin and the other muscles. It is easier to see why poor facial muscles cause sagging skin.

The facial muscles are like any other muscles. They need to be exercised to keep them in shape and toned so that they can perform what they are designed to do. Facial exercises are a fantastic way to work towards strengthening the muscles. Over the years, there are a number of people that are sceptical towards these exercises. One needs to remember that these exercises need to be done religiously for about two to three months before you can see any results. The exercises need to be practiced at least thrice a week for about fifteen minutes a day. At the end of the day, to results you crave would be a direct result of the effort you put in.

And the success of Android apps….

Following on from my last post about iPhone apps I thought I’d do a post about Android apps. I have two phones – one Android and one iOS – so I get the best of both worlds. There has been a lot written about the Android store and how it compares to the Apple version, but in my view they aren’t really that different.

One of the main benefits I was told when I bought the Android phone is that “most” of the apps are free. This is not the case – there are many free apps but also a lot of paid apps. The ones which are free usually monetize though adverts so they are not really free, you have to constantly look at the adverts and sometimes have your app interrupted. I’d rather have this than be forced to pay though.

Many of the really good apps, however, are paid so there isn’t much difference in this respect.

The main difference is the amount of games available and the quality. Normal apps like stocks, timers etc are about the same on both systems. The iPhone version of the store has a lot more variety when it comes to games though and they are generally of a higher quality. Why this is I’m not sure, but it’s something Google will want to address in the future if Android is still going to rival iOS in this department.

The Progress Of iPhone Apps

It’s amazing how far iPhone apps have come in a relevantly short time span. I recently bought an app called “First Touch” which is a football game. A few years ago if I’d bought a game like this It probably would have been a simple design with maybe a button to kick and a series of set targets to hit. This game, however, has a full 3D graphics engine, free flowing game play and very intuitive controls. For 59p I couldn’t believe what you get for your money!

This is just one example of the amazing games that are on the iPhone at the moment and it’s only going to get better. Games which have mass appeal such as Angry Birds will obviously sell the most, but these are relatively simple games which don’t show off the true capabilities of the phone. I’d go as far to say that the graphics on First Touch are far better than the N64 – it’s an old console I know but that’s still pretty impressive for a 59p app on a mobile phone.

I can’t wait to see how the market develops with apps. I wonder what the limit is to graphics and imagination of the developers. I hope programmers continue to use it as a cheap way to get innovative games onto the market – gaming desperately needs a shake up and I really think the iPhone could be the “game changer”.

Fake Statue Of Liberty Stamp

The US is known for being a very patriotic that’s proud of all its landmarks and history. That’s why it’s such an amusing story that a stamp that was meant to display a picture of the Statue of Liberty actually shows a replica – especially as the replica is from a Las Vegas hotel.

The US postal service has come out and admitted the mistake and said how much they regret it, but they aren’t going to try and remove the stamp from circulation. This is bound to make it a collector’s item, so it could turn out to be a good thing for people who’ve managed to get their hands on one. I’m going to keep an eye on eBay and see how much these sell for in the near future – I’m guessing that many collectors will want to get their hands on them.

It’s actually quite impressive- although not surprising – that anyone actually noticed the difference between the version on the stamp and the replica. Apparently the stamp version has a small rectangle on the crown that isn’t present on the real model. The facial features are also said to be sharper and not true to the original. Even so, it’s a good replica so it’s easy to see how someone who wasn’t an expert in the Statue of Liberty could make the mistake.

The hotel have tried to make the most out of it- as you’d expect – by claiming that they are the first Las Vegas hotel to appear on a postage stamp.
